2013 Le Roc Fronton Rosé "La Saignée"

SKU #1165386

From Importer Charles Neal: "Frederic and Jean-Luc Ribes make Negrette-based wines in this small appellation that lies about 20 minutes north of Toulouse. We 've been importing their wines for over 15 years-in fact, some of their wines were on the first container we ever brought in to the US. Their rosé is made with 60% Negrette, 35% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Franc, bled from tank after a short maceration. It is earthier and more complex than many rosé wines, full of Southwestern character and drinkability."

A delicious rose. Spicy, angular, and begging for aggressive food. This is a southern French rose version of an Australian fighting wine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbOZccv9ym8
