 (more hail here): Ripe apple and spicy oak on the nose; less pristine and high-pitched than the Vide Bourse. Round and lightly saline on the palate, with nicely concentrated peach and spice flavors. Less floral than the Vide Bourse and a tad dry on the end. This wine was in 50% new oak (two of four barrels) until the racking at the beginning of April.  (9/ 2013)

 An expressive nose features notes of acacia blossom, citrus and lightly spiced pear and apple scents. There is good richness to the rich, generous and fleshy medium-bodied flavors that possess good volume on the delicious and well-balanced finish that exhibits noticeable minerality. This classy effort is slightly finer than the Dents de Chien if not as complex. (Drink starting 2018)  (6/ 2014)

A lovely bottle of wine showing that quality that this underrated village can offer. The wine is almost ethereal on the palate. So supple and elegant, showing ripe orchard fruit bordering on fleshy stone fruits. There is a gently savory lees element and suggestion of mineral. Sure the wine has lovely flavor concentration but for me it is the silky texture on the palate that sets this wine apart from many of its competitors in this price point.

Chardonnay
