2013 Les Vignerons de Fontès "Prieuré Saint-Hippolyte" Languedoc Rosé

SKU #1161131

One of our most popular most rosés, this fresh and balanced rosé comes from one of our favorite co-ops in the south of France. It's a blend of Syrah and Grenache growing in volcanic soils in the heart of the Languedoc. With aromas and flavors of ripe strawberries and raspberries, this crisp, medium-bodied rose is an ideal complement to spring green salads, light cheeses, mac and cheeses, mozzarella cheese salads, goat cheeses, cheese and crackers and olives and salumi...or enjoy as an evening aperitif, cheese optional.

The latest release of Hippolyte Rosé has hit our California shores it is delicious! Last night was one of the warmest evenings of the year...what an opportune moment to crack open a bottle of this dry pink wine to enjoy with take-out Chinese from Little Shin. Pale strawberry notes, crisp fresh acidity and a clean finish. I will definitely keep the Hippolyte in my summer rosé rotation.

This is just a tad fresher and cleaner than last year's version, but still retains the juicy and roly poly cascade of fruit you expect from this easy-drinking bargain. The warm days of summer are on their way, and for good reason this is one of our best selling pink wines year after year--so stock up.
