2003 Patrick Lesec "Marquis" Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2003 Chateauneuf du Pape Marquis, which emerges from the two sectors known as La Crau and Valori, includes 100% stems. This traditionally-styled Chateauneuf exhibits notes of new saddle leather, raspberries, kirsch, tobacco leaf, tar, spice box, and Provencal herbs. Medium to full-bodied, powerful, and moderately tannic, it will be even better with another 1-2 years of bottle age, and should last for 5-10 years.
