This Amarone is really very well structured and isn't cloying, raisiny or overripe at all, a problem that I have with a fair amount of Amarone. No, this wine has more structure, balance and yes, it is Amarone with that characteristic ripeness--but it has so much more balance that I was really stunned. A complex blend of spicy fruit flavors, supple chocolaty richness in the mouth and a convincingly dry and long finish.
Drink from 2014 to 2022
