I spent a week "wee dramming" my way through Islay in June 2014 and tippled directly from a lot of barrels. One of my favorites was a 1998 Bowmore that I poured into my own bottle and hand-carried home. Like that bottle and the unattainable Springtide, this 16 Year Old Faultline has a lot of sweetness, nuttiness, toffee, and candied fruit without the iodine and seawater of the Springtide. This is an amazing whisky that you can just sip slowly and enjoy. I'm grabbing 2 more bottles before they are gone.
