This delightful Chardonnay comes from an extremely well-regarded cooperative in the village of Vinzelles. It comes entirely from the appelation Pouilly-Loché, a notch above the usual Mâcon-Villages wines, with more limestone in the soils producing drive and minerality as well as richness. It's a terrifc value!

The appellation of Pouilly-Loche goes back to 1940, but somehow has never achieved the same world-wide fame. But if you like Chardonnay grown on limestone soils, and do not want to break the bank, this is definitely one to consider stocking up on. White Burgundy at this pirce is getting harder and harder to find these days, and we were excited to find this in France and bring it in directly for your drinking pleasure.

A great find for Burgundy and Chardonnay lovers! Enough richness to please most California Chardonnay fans palates.

This is a classic Burgundy at a great value! Notes of golden apple, pear and hazelnut. The wine shows great balance and complexity. Burgundy has always been one of those region that can really break your heart and your wallet. but this wine was able to protect both of those. I'm thinking a steamed sea-bass will be making its way on the dinner table with this bottle soon!

- It's hard to believe that up until about 30 years ago, this extremely popular varietal hid behind the veil of geographical names like Chablis and Puligny-Montrachet. Now grown all over the world and bottled by its varietal name, Chardonnay has achieved a level of branding unlike any other wine. - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay.
