Can Mayol Loxarel "999" Cava Brut Rosé Penedes
Wine & Spirits
There’s intriguing complexity to this firmly structured rosé, a meaty wine that’s dry without feeling tannic. The mousse is finely integrated into the flavor, set to lift the flavors of duck confit or roast quail.

The Loxarel 999 Rosat is made up of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Trepat. Salmon pink in color with persistent small bubbles, it is a tasty wine best used as an aperitif.

Orange-pink. Musky red fruits, herbs and flowers on the nose, along with a hint of underbrush. Taut redcurrant and bitter cherry flavors are braced by gentle acidity, ultimately showing a slight tartness. The brisk, dry-edged finish features good persistence and an echo of bitter cherry skin.
Produced from a blend of organically grown Pinot Noir and Xarel-lo grapes, this is a very delicious, bone dry style of rosé. If you like your bubbly dry, really dry, then you will love this - it's got great tangy red fruit flavors, truly bracing and brisk stuff, but with a wonderful texture and liveliness as well. This is clearly very skillfully and carefully crafted sparkling wine from proprietor/vigneron Josep Mitjans. We are very happy to be directly importing Can Mayol Loxarel cavas, as we think that their range is amongst the most interesting and the highest quality not only in the region, but in all of Spain.
