2007 Arcadian "Sleepy Hollow Vineyard" Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay
The 2007 Chardonnay Sleepy Hollow is a relatively generous, giving style for Arcadian. Nectarine, mint, orange blossom and spices meld together in this gorgeous, creamy Chardonnay. The 2007 is rich, but not at all heavy. This is a striking wine. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2017.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Rich and showing a mature, yet fresh and lively profile, the 2007 Chardonnay Sleepy Hollow Vineyard offers up musky peach, dried pineapple, vanilla creme and crushed stone to go with a rich, layered and seamless palate. Balanced and building in richness on the palate, it continued to freshen up in the glass and will drink beautifully for another 5-7 years, if not longer. It will give a number of mature white burgundies a run for their money. Drink now-2020. This was a brilliant set of wines by Joe Davis, and lovers of old-school, age-worthy wines that improve in the cellar should not miss these.

Bright yellow-gold. An exotically perfumed bouquet displays apricot and peach nectar, honey and a touch of burnt sugar. Rich and palate-caressing, with deep tropical and pit fruit flavors and a touch of baking spices. In a lush, powerful style that could use more vibrancy, to my palate, but fans of the type will score this higher.
Apricot jam and late-harvest botrytis flavors are often characteristic of this vineyard. This is bone dry, with brisk acidity and stony minerality. It will gradually lose fruit over the years.
