Alexander Jules Fino 22/85 Jerez

SKU #1141113

Alex Jules Russan is a Sherry lover and, as Jim Clendenen famously puts it on his own Au Bon Climat label, the "mind behind" Alexander Jules. Alex's belief that Sherry can be amongst the most complex, versatile and deeply satisfying of all wines, particularly when they are carefully selected, blended and minimally processed, is one with which we here completely agree. A blend of barrels personally chosen by Russan for their superlative traits, this is an 8-year-old Fino (compare with the more typical 4-5 years old) from Sanchez Romate. It is savory, salty and rich, a serious Fino for fans of similarly styled bottlings from Equipo Navazos, Valdespino and El Maestro Sierra. The "saca," or bottling, of this wine was in May 2013.
