 The 2007 Brut Le Nombre d'Or Campaniae Veteres Vites captures the Aubry style at its very best. White flowers, citrus, crushed rocks and fresh mint are supported by clean, piercing veins of acidity in this vibrant, chiseled Champagne. I especially like the energy and pure focus of the 2007. A wine of true pedigree and personality, the 2007 should drink nicely for a number of years. Today, it is exceptionally beautiful, but it could use another year in bottle. The 2007 is 30% Chardonnay, 30% Petit Meslier, 20% Arbanne and 20% Pinot Blanc. Disgorgement date: June 2012. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2022.  (11/ 2012)

 (made from 30% chardonnay, 30% petit meslier, 20% arbanne and 20% pinot blanc, with a very low dosage of 2 g/l; disgorged June, 2012): Light yellow. Intensely perfumed bouquet of orchard fruits, tangerine, chamomile and anise, along with a suggestion of ginger and a mounting floral element. Firm and dry in the mouth, with chewy pear skin and citrus flavors giving way to deeper peach and nectarine on the back half. Shows a suave blend of richness and energy, finishing very long, with lingering spiciness and minerality.  (12/ 2012)

 Attractively mature, this has a toast flavor that combines delicately with citrus and pineapple notes. Tight, crisp and textured, it is delicious and fragrant. This includes old Champagne varieties, including the unusual Arbanne and Petit Meslier.  (12/ 2012)

Most of you are familiar with our other former "Sable", now "Quartz" from Champagne Launois. This gorgeous effort from Aubry has four fathoms of pressure as opposed to the "normal" six. The result is a delicacy not often found in many champagnes. Well, it abounds here! This wine has a clean, clear nose that is very prefumed with floral notes and creamy scents. On the palate, this bubbly is clean with delicate citrus and mandarin orange flavors. Dry and delicate. This particular release is s blend of 30% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Blanc, 20% Pinot Gris and 30% Petit Neslier and Arbanne. All stainless steel fermentation. Disgorged June, 2012. Terry Theise brings us some of our most exciting champagnes and at our "Champagne Summit" on August 13th, this one was amongst one of the most exciting ones presented to us by Hiram Simon.
