From importer Charles Neal: "This cuvée is made from 65-year-old vines, grown on chalk and limestone soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes undergo a long fermentation with full malolactic. The lies are stirred in the tank for two months to give the wine additional richness and complexity. Production is just over 600 cases a year...The wine shows mineralled notes (tonic) as well as higher-pitched floral notes. Something like a hypothetical cross of Grüner Veltliner and Muscadet."

One of the most serious Jacqueres (that's the grape variety) we have here. Great weight with lemon oil and creamy notes. It's like a lemon curd pie without the overt tartness. If you're not drinking Savoie whites, you need to be.

Freshness abounds! Bright mineral, low fruit and clean as a whistle. From the magnificent town of Chignin, the quintessential Savoyard village, this is why these people eat so much melted cheese. On the palate, more mineral, tons of pithy tangerine. Clearly a top quality producer.
