Galda Cava Brut (Previously $10)

SKU #1135452

Please welcome our latest DI (Direct Import) Spanish wine, the delicious, bright, crisp, Galda Cava Brut! Here we have a wonderful sparkler, priced so that you can always have a well-made sparkler on hand in your fridge, ready for a weekend beach retreat, an upcoming wedding or other festive occasion. This cava is produced from estate-grown Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada, growing in calcareous clay soils around the town of Gelida, from one of the leading independent wineries producing Cava in this D.O. Yellow skinned fruits, apples and a balanced, bright acidity combine to make this a lovely sparkling wine that definitely over-performs for the price. (Joe Manekin, K&L Spanish wine buyer)

I am a sucker for cava. Seriously. A glass of bubbly at the end of the day can turn an otherwise lacking day wistfully around. A splash of bubbles in a cocktail gives it lightness and intrigue. A bottle mixed with some fresh fruit turns breakfast into brunch. This cava even has hints of crushed peaches on the palate to make it that much more desirable.
