2012 Dry Creek Vineyards Chenin Blanc
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2012 Dry Chenin Blanc was fermented and aged in stainless steel. Its flowery bouquet is followed by a wine with crisp acids, orange oil, medium body, and a friendly, delicious style. Drink this dry white wine over the next year.
Good Value Blancs - Juicy yet elegant, offering a sophisticated mix of apple blossom, peach, lemon zest and pear on a light body, with a refreshing finish.
From the winery: "Since the early 1980s, we have sourced Chenin Blanc grapes from the Clarksburg appellation in the Sacramento Delta. This area has provided us with delicious fruit that expresses our Loire Valley inspired roots. Most California vintners have given up on Chenin Blanc. We believe this incredible varietal has a rightful place at the table. It is the perfect aperitif wine, extremely versatile and food friendly, making it one of our most beloved wines."
