Chewy, saline and savory, with harmonious acidity (4.1 grams per liter) and underlying minerality accentuating the flavors of lemon, lime and truffle.  Outstanding! The wood treatment is all but invisible and easily allows the ultra-pure and elegant nose of mineral reduction, green apple, white flowers and citrus aromas to shine. There is a terrific sense of underlying tension with laser-like focus to the medium-bodied and intensely mineral-driven flavors, all wrapped in a dry and somewhat curiously, somewhat exotic finish. This is surprisingly forward compared to its usual restrained style which should allow it to drink well on the young side if desired  (4/ 2013)

Burgundy

- The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. It is divided into the Côte de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Côte de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). Meursault

- The town of Meursault is a prosperous village, with a Gothic town hall and narrow winding streets. It produces a small amount of red wine, but is justly famous for its whites. Although it has no Grand Cru vineyards, its Premiers Crus are justly famous, particularly Charmes, Poruzots, Perrières and Genevrières. A good Meursault has concentration, grip and backbone, in addition to its soft and rich fruit.
