Personally, I have been a real sucker for the 2009 vintage. I think the wines have class, elegance and a soft spoken drive and von Hovel, in typical fashion, delivers this to you in the bottle. Very clear and focused with edgy minerals, bright tropical fruit and white peaches. Showing just a hint of the 2009 fleshiness but that magical Saar zip really brightens up the entire wine from beginning to end. This still has a long life a head of it.
