Wonderful improvement here, with blackberry and chocolate character, full, round and soft. Very well done indeed. (4/ 2011)
This wine seems like it’s all structure at this stage, firmly tannic and dry. Very solid and chunky, it is hiding its potentially rich fruit, which will show once the intense tannins soften, but the wine will likely always be severe. (2/ 2013)
(a blend of 65% ca bernet sauvignon and 35% merlot; 14% alcohol Medium ruby. Perfumed aromas of red cherry, dark plum, sweet spices and herbs. Enters the mouth fleshy and sweet, then shows vibrant blackberry and blackcurrant flavors in the mid-palate. A solid spine of acidity accentuates the tannins on the back end, leaving a somewhat dry mouthfeel. Still, there should be enough fruit here to stand up to the tannins over time. (5/ 2011)
