1993 GlenDronach 19 Year Old "K&L Exclusive" Single Barrel Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky 750ml

SKU #1120553

Located in an isolated portion of the Aberdeenshire, amid rolling green hills and sinister shadows, GlenDronach is churning out sherry-aged single malt that simply destroys many of its competitors. This 19-year-old selection smells of Armagnac and rich caramel, with roasted fruits and big sherry aromas. The palate is soft, integrated and very smooth, even at full proof. The richness is powerful, but unlike some of their older selections, it is completely in check and balanced by the spice and alcohol in the malt. This is a bigger, more expressive version of Macallan 18. It's going to be a huge hit!

Layered, lush, rich, and decadent - this whiskey will have any fan of speyside single malts turning their heads and asking for a second glass. This single barrel, oloroso aged whiskey is very dark with intense chocolate and caramelized fruit and nut flavors. If you like scotch- you can't help but love this glendronach expression.

Move over Macallan 18, your days are over. With the price of the world's most recognized high-end single malt reaching nearly $200, why would you even think about paying that when you can have a bigger, richer, bolder, higher-proofed version of the same thing? We travel to Glendronach every year to find barrels like this and these K&L exclusive release always win us a legion of new customers. "I could have been drinking something like this before!" people lament. Don't be sad, however. Be happy! You've discovered Glendronach. Now rejoice in its splendor.

A beautiful dark brown color with aromas that are maltly, yet almost floral. This Glendronach has rich and round flavors with a nice nutty finish. There is a lot to enjoy and think about when drinking this single malt.

Fire: the color, the alcohol, the flavor: big and very, very bold; maybe too much too handle. I'm cutting with 1:3 ratio of water to whisky right now and think I will increase that to 1:2. The sherry is unmistakable. I am not sure I will try this one again.
