*Outstanding* A cool, pure and highly layered nose of citrus and green fruit exhibits undertones of earth, anise and wet stone that complement the rich, full and very powerful flavors brimming with dry extract that confers a borderline chewy character to the explosive and notably dry finish that is every bit as long as that of the Chevalier. This is a flat out impressive, indeed even dramatic, wine. (6/ 2012)
Captivating aromas of lemon, gunflint, menthol, ginger and coriander. Tactile, dense and penetrating, with powerful acidity contributing to the dry impression shown by the wine's crystallized lemon peel and crushed stone flavors. The strong lemony quality carries through onto the aromatic, palate-staining finish. This may well need seven or eight years in the cellar. (9/ 2010)
