As impressive a bottle of Champagne as you're likely to procure, whether your friends will recognize the name or not! This is another classic vintage wine from Bonville, who is our most "vertical worthy" producer that we carry. Composed entirely from Grand Cru, estate grown Chardonnay, this vintage comes almost exclusively from the village of Avize. This 2007 is similar in style to the 2004, with wonderful directness, minerality and freshness. I have enjoyed many bottles of the 1996 and 1992 recently, as well as drinking the 1986 ,1976, 1973, 1969, 1966, 1964 and 1961. The wines that the Bonville family makes are among our most ageable, so put a little extra aside and start drinking this 2007 now! (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)
