A broad, fleshy, smoky style, with dark plum, currant paste, braised fig and baker's chocolate notes that hang on the muscular finish. A gutsy style, but should be tamed a bit by cellaring. Best from 2013 through 2021. (3/ 2012)
Looks quite mature at the rim of a deep ruby. Very rich and bloody and meaty. Luscious. (3/ 2012)
This wine from Canon Fronsac has a lovely nose of black fruits and toasty oak and tastes great! Full and rich on the palate, with excellent acidity. Tannins are supple already, but this will age well for quite a few years. A bargain.-Clyde Beffa
