"End Post" by Adelaida Cellars is a small production Cabernet blend fermented with all natural yeasts and aged for 18 months in primarily used French oak barrels (70% used, 30% new). According to the folks at Adelaida, 2010 was a wet vintage, a departure from the drought pattern that had preceeded it. According to the folks at Adelaida, "our vineyards were graced with above average rainfall, approaching as much as 40 inches in parts," yielding fresh, juicy, and abundant fruit. This is lush, soft and round, with ripe raspberry and cassis aromas and flavors accented by blueberry, plum, and chocolate. With well-balanced acidity smooth tannins, this is a delicious, pump style, ready to drink tonight that will pair with many foods, from burgers to pizza!
