The wine is made by Pierre Gonet of Champagne Philippe Gonet in Mesnil, all from vines owned by his wife in and around the village of Chigny-les-Roses. This brand is new, and it is only the second round of non-vintage wines to be released. The Cuvée LSR 1er Cru Brut Rosé is composed of 80% Chardonnay from Mesnil and 20% red wine from Vertus, making it a rare all Côte des Blancs pink. It has a solid rose color and a nose of spicy red fruit. This will be great for fans of the high Chardonnay Billecart-Salmon style! (Gary Westby, K&L Champagne buyer)
