A primarily Zinfandel based wine (50%) with a balance (in order of volume) of Mourvedre, Touriga Nacional, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Syrah, and Tempranillo, Field Recordings describes this wine as a wine for people who love Zinfandel who don't always know it: "Bright raspberries and blueberries, yes- almost jammy, but layered in spice and herbs. It's like berry cola, peppered flank steak, and kitchen gardens, all in one. It's ripe and ready to drink tonight, and don't be embarrassed to take it out to dinner: your Zin-hating friends won't know what hit them." The wine spent 6 months in 30% new French and American oak before being bottled unfined and unfilterered.
