*Editors' Choice* So elegant and sophisticated, this is a great value in California Chardonnay. Although it’s dry, it’s rich and delicious in pineapples, pears, mangoes and honey, with an opulent overlay of sweet oak. The brisk acidity is balanced, and gets the mouth watering. (6/ 2012)
The 2010 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard is a pretty, understated wine. Lemon, white flowers and a hint of oak are woven together nicely in a medium-bodied Chardonnay that emphasizes brightness. This Katherine's is remarkably well-spoken and flat-out beautiful. It is one of the finest values readers will find in barrel-fermented California Chardonnay. I loved it. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015. I was quite taken with the wines I tasted from Cambria this year. The top selections in particular are well worth serious consideration. (8/ 2012)
Pale yellow. Ripe pear, melon, vanilla and clove on the fragrant nose. Picks up a tangy citrus zest nuance with air, which gives vivacity to the pliant orchard fruit and honeydew flavors. The citrus quality adds lift and cut to the slightly bitter-edged finish. (11/ 2012)
