A lean and tightly wound version, displaying white pepper, cherry, cranberry and underbrush flavors. Turns dry on the finish, but leaves a mouthwatering impression. Best from 2015 through 2027. (Web-2013)
Ca' du Rabaja sits on the top of the Rabaja Cru hillside, one of the greatest vineyards in Barbaresco and the Langhe. The vineyard features chalky blue marl soil on its hillside aspect, lending distinct terroir and positively stressing the vines to get enough nutrients. The vineyard is carefully tended and grapes are handled with the utmost care in vinification. The wine spent 20 months in Allier French oak. A garnet color introduces a nose of rose petals, cherry, blueberry, anise, and baking spice which reverberate on the palate with firm tannins.
