The 2009 Bon Anno (which meants 'good year' in Italian) Cab blends 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, and 2% Cabernet Franc sourced primarily from a handful of top Napa Valley floor vineyards within the Rutherford bench, St. Helena, Yountville, Calistoga and Oak Knoll districts (the Merlot came from prime sites in Carneros). Aged for 20 months in French oak, this exhibits classic Cabernet black fruit and aromas and flavors, with blue and red fruit highlights from the blending varietals. Herb and floral notes add lift to the nose, while the palate offers layers of rich fruit, with spicy licorice and bakers' chocolate accenting the round smooth finish. There is no need to wait, this Cab is ready to drink tonight!
