The 2011 TINTO 'J.P. AZEITAO' is a blend of Castelao, Syrah and Aragonez. Lovely for the price, it is fruity and a touch candied, very tasty and friendly, and of course, not at all complex. Drink it young, fresh and on the cool side. Drink now-2014. (6/ 2012)
This wine, produced from castelao, aragonez (tempranillo) and syrah, is like chomping on a bowlful of cherries and plums. Yes, the wine drinking equivalent of that at any rate. Fresh, slightly floral and delicious wine from southern Portugal. Not merely cheap and cheerful, the "JP" is a terrific and tasty value. (Joe Manekin, K&L Portuguese Wine Buyer)
