*Top 100 Wines of 2012* Seamless from start to finish, both rich and elegantly sllek. Floral Asian pear and creamy almond aromas lead to complex and delicately balanced flavors of lively lemon and raspberry, plus ginger and spice. The finish lingers beautifully. Drink now through 2016. (12/ 2012)
Following a string of successful vintages, the new 2007 release of Iron Horse's small production Sonoma County Classic Vintage Brut continues the traditional blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay from their estate vineyards in the Green Valley AVA. Aged for four years on the lees, it shows aromas and flavors of tropical citrus, baked apple, and key lime, with savory pastry and hazelnut accents. This is full-bodied sparkler, with a rich mousse and creamy finish, perfect for enjoying with a variety of foods. Iron Horse recommends it with everything from lemon and herb seasoned roast chicken, to lobster mac & cheese or French fries with truffle salt. We also think this would be delicious with Asian-style dumplings or tempura-fried dishes. Only 1000 cases produced.
