A blend of 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, this Iron Horse Wedding Cuvée has a blanc de noirs style and substance that is further realized by the low-yielding harvest in 2008. The inclusion of Chardonnay supports the backbone of the Pinot fruit and maintains a steely quality to keep the fruit forward Pinot selection in check. After three years of bottle age on the lees, the wine was disgorged in 2012. Peach, hazelnut, and red berry grace the nose to introduce a palate of stone fruit and ruby grapefruit. Awarded three stars by the New York Times: "A rosé in all but name; dry, elegant and almost austere, with flavors that walk a line between savory and lightly fruity." (12/6/12)
