Noticeable SO2 - decant. A citrus, resin, herb and rose petal nose gives way to seductively textured and admirably concentrated flavors that possess excellent intensity on the racy, long and linear finish. Despite the sulfur, this is nicely elegant and refined. (7/ 2009)
Sexy aromas of ripe peach, lemon, lime, flowers and smoky oak, along with a light sulfide quality that adds interest. Rich, round and sweet, but with very good underlying minerality giving this a more complex middle palate than the Chenevottes. Finishes with very good breadth and stony lift, mineral-driven but not austere. (10/ 2009)
