Tasted in mid-April 2012 at Chateau Angludet; we fell in love with this wine. The property is in Moulis near Poujeaux and near the town of Castelnau. Slightly new wave in style, with toasty, tobacco nuanced aromas and some toasty flavors. Fine mid-palate richness and lingering finish. Try with rack of Lamb. (Clyde Beffa, K&L Bordeaux buyer) This wine was also mentioned in the 2012 Saveur 100, highligting the Bordeaux Deals from the 2009 and 2010 vintages. They wrote: "Those same grapes [Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot] deliver a bold cherry-vanilla punch followed by a spicy finish in the wonderful Château Pomeys, which is perfect with steak."
