Friendly, with up-front peach and almond notes that turn a touch diffuse on the finish. Drink now. (Web-2011)
Established around the turn of the 16th century by the Duke d'Epernon, the Château takes its name from the Suau family, who restored the property in the mid-17th century. The property changed hands many times in the ensuing years, but has been in the hands of the Bonnet family since 1986. The vineyards have been farmed organically since 2008, and they should complete Ecocert's organic certification in 2012. The estate produces white, red and sweet Bordeaux. A fresh, peachy Sauvignon Blanc-dominated value white, with small amounts of Semillon and Muscadelle, finished with a screwcap to maintain freshness.
