The ideal subsoils of this estate's vineyards confer an intense aromatic expression, supple tannins, fine balance, and a graceful long finish. 100% Cabernet Franc, this is vinified traditionally, with a 15 day post-fermentation maceration period, and very gentle extraction. The wine is then aged for 6 - 8 months in tanks deep in the subterranean galleries carved into the soft tuffeau hillside, and then bottled early to capture the essential bright fruit aromas and flavors.
