A sassy little blend of Gamay (85%) and Pinot Noir (15%) from in and around Sancerre, though it can't be called Sancerre as there is no AOC for sparkling wine in the region. A super cool, fun-filled nose of strawberry, framboise and spiced white plums. The tight core of bubbles makes this easy and fun to drink. My notes say, "I really like this." (Eric Story, Loire Buyer) The newest and coolest direct import Sancerre from us here at K&L: Domaine Gueneau. Jerome and Frederique Gueneau started their Domaine back in the late 1990's. They started off with small beginnings and have grown over the times to meet the ever growing demand for world class Sancerre. We've been keeping a close eye on this estate and really feel like we have something special. Clean, bright and driven is the style here. And, they make a sparkling! How cool is that?
