Aromas of foie gras, meat and berry. Turns to light jam. Full body, with velvety tannins and a light jam aftertaste. Slightly decaying fruit character. Drink now. (1/ 2012)
Showing youthful oak tones that still need time to integrate, this wine is a bit sour and ripe at the same time. Black cherry, tobacco, leather and spice aromas are nice, but the tannins are firm, and the wine shows a bright point of acidity on the close and a gritty, cooked-fruit finish. (5/ 2012)
The Ferrero Brunello di Montalcino is really dynamite. Bold, rich and smooth, with layers of complex fruit and spice. It is perhaps one of the best they've made. (Greg St. Clair, K&L Italian Wine Buyer)
