A red-fruited Champagne, this is mainly pinot meunier blended with chardonnay. The wine has clean lines and a tight middle, where the earthiness runs parallel with the fruit. Citrus notes refresh the finish, with Kaffir lime and grapefruit pith building out of the smoky acidity. Decant this for roast chicken with pancetta and fingerling potatoes. (12/ 2009)
Offers a mix of apricot and passion fruit pāte de fruit, with spice accents in the background. This has volume and a soft structure, leading to a moderately long finish. Drink now through 2016. 100 cases imported. (11/ 2009)
We just recieved a tiny allocation of 48 magnums of this fantastic 2002 Champagne. This toasty, rich, layered wine will wow you. Last year, we got a few of these magnums just as a gift for the staff, and this year we are lucky enough to have some to sell. This is one of the best values in great Champagne in grand format in the store. This wine is a blend of 80% Meunier and 20% Chardonnay, fermented in enamel lined, iron vats without malolactic.
