Vecchie Terre's Chianti is so classic, so elegant, so long...that's so many superlatives that I'm getting tired of writing "so." While this wine has gorgeous fruit aromatics, its real character lies as a soil driven wine, not dirty or earthy but more crushed rock and mineral mixing with the wild cherry like aromas. Supple and long on the palate, this wine just seems to go on and on, layering more flavors second after second all coiled around a core that is slowly unwinding. Superb wine from the heart of Chianti Classico and the highest point in Panzano; this really delivers outstanding value, flavor, balance and excitement. (Greg St.Clair, K&L's Italian Buyer)
