The wines of Ermacora are absolute steals for their price to quality ratios, which is why we continue to bring them in direct, vintage after vintage. Their Friulano exibits all the classic spicy/sweet herbaciousness of the grape with honeydew melon and assorted tree fruits on the nose. The 2011 shows a nice balance of richness and flavor on the palate, with crisp acidity and an intense mineral vein adding focus and drive to the finish. As with the Pinot Bianco, this will evolve beautifully over the course of a few years in bottle, but patience is not necessary to begin enjoying this wine as it is fresh, delicious and ready to drink now.
Below is a listing of the wine review scores we frequently reference in our notes. While these sources remain an excellent source of information, we always recommend that you trust your own palate. Scores in these publications often represent the personal taste of an individual critic, which may not always coincide with your own.
