If you want to get the K&L staff talking (incessantly), ask them about the Janvier wines from Jasnières. These Chenin Blancs are some of the most stunning, fresh, complex, balanced and finesseful wines, vintage after vintage. The Cuvée Sainte Narcisse comes from the riper grapes (more than 12.5% potential alcohol) from the Janvier's 35-40 year old vines planted in clay and limestone soils, and is made in an off-dry style that will age wonderfully.
