2011 Zuani "Vigne" Collio Bianco
Made with the Friulano grape (with small percentages of international varieties), this is a freshly floral and intense Italian white with lingering tones of peach and honeysuckle. It shows creamy richness in the mouth.
Fresh and focused, with fine texture and vibrant acidity framing floral, spice, persimmon, poached pear and almond notes. Delivers a mouthwatering, creamy finish. Friulano, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. Drink now through 2017. (Web-2013)
The "Zuani" blends Friulano, the Colliio's indigenous varietal, with Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio from marl and sandstone soils. Fermented in new French oak barrels with daily (then weekly) battonage. This is a spicy, citrusy wine with layers of fruit and a creamy minerality.
