Good dark red. Subtly perfumed, ripe aromas of currant and black cherry. Sweet, gentle and fruity, with good vinosity to the cherry and menthol flavors. Nicely balanced dolcetto with ripe tannins and good length. (10/ 2011)
Cordero di Montezemolo's property has gone through many transitions since its beginning in 1340, but it now consists of 28 contiguous hectares of vineyard. From Wine Advocate: "The Cordero di Montezemolo estate is one of the most picturesque spots in all of Piedmont, as it sits above the spectacular Monfalletto vineyard, which is easily identified by the famous Cedar of Lebanon that is planted on the top of the hill." (07/2005)
