The 2011 Mâcon Villages from Comte Lafon is an assemblage of select vine parcels planted in clay and chalk located in the towns of Uchizy and Chardonnay. The primary vineyard has excellent southern exposure and is about twenty years old. All of the vine parcels are cultivated following organic and biodynamic methods. Allen Meadows wrote of the 2010 vintage: "A highly expressive and very pretty nose that is ultra-fresh as it offers just cut lemon aromas and leads to delicious flavors that also evidence plenty of citrus influence on the dry, clean, linear and refreshing finish."
