J. Bookwalter's Subplot #26 is a melange of Cab, Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, Cab Franc, Zin and Grenache from the 2010 vintage (even though this is not a vintage-designated wine)--the coldest vintage on record in Eastern Washington. Despite the extremely cool weather conditions, this is a decidedly big, fruity wine, with an abundance of red fruit draped in a robe of graphite, baking spices, savory herbs and cola. There's good lift to keep the all the fruit in check, this is a good value for drinking tonight.
