Connoisseurs Guide
*Two Stars and a Good Value Designation* Very rich and solidly fixed on rooty, briary, curranty varietal specifics in its deep, genuinely complex aromas, this full-bodied bottling brings all its handsome pieces together in convincing flavors that rely first and foremost on concentrated, energetic, exceptionally well-crafted fruit. Supple at entry, firm underneath in a manner that promises an easy decade of improvement, mannerly but never anything less than amply filled up, this a wine to put aside for dishes like prime rib roasts or Tournedos Rossini for years to come.

Good deep red-ruby. Very ripe aromas of redcurrant and mocha. Superripe, sweet and pliant on the palate, combining very good breadth and sound underlying energy. Finishes tactile and persistent, with a flavor of cherry and substantial ripe tannins.

Wine Enthusiast
Brambly berry fruit, with a hint of herb around the edges, marks this wine. Along with the Cabernet, there are smaller amounts of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, showing well-integrated barrel notes of coffee and roasted walnuts, and smooth tannins.

Velvety, with juicy cherry and raspberry flavors, hinting at white chocolate and wet earth as the finish lingers. Best from 2013 through 2017. 588 cases made.
