Cabernet Franc grapes from a specially selected plot are blended with a bit of Chenin for this refreshing and exciting rosé. The vineyards of Hureau's estate are planted in the local ‘Tuffe’, a soft, chalky limestone dating back to the Cretaceous period. It was used to build the Loire Valley castles and old homes, and is to be found everywhere in the vineyards. The crop is greatly thinned twice a year and the resulting yield is very low. The finished wine is then taken to a local sparkling producer who guides it into the bottle to age on the lees.
