The 2005 Viña Albina Reserva is a blend of 80% Tempranillo, 15% Mazuelo, and 5% Graciano sourced from the Bodegas Riojanas estate and four other select vineyards. Grapes were hand-harvested and the wine was aged for between 24-30 months in American oak before being bottled and aged for at least an additional year at the Bodega. From the winery: "Aromas of red fruit with hints of oak aging, nice red color with a tawny rim. Well structured in the mouth with good acidity and polished tannins, a well balanced wine. Excellent body and balance between tannins and acidity. Highly representative of classic Rioja Alta wines."
