Delicious and balanced, with good concentration of ripe, rich fruit, but it's not a blockbuster, just lingering with subtle complexity and sweetness, offering blackberries, wet earth, chocolate and herbs. Tannins are supple. The finish is complex and pleasant. (12/ 2003)
