This "feinherb" styled Riesling is an essentially dry-tasting QbA from Zilliken's Saarburg sites. The extremely small yields of the unusual 2010 vintage led Zilliken to bottle only 10% of their usual amounts, but the 2011 is back to business as usual. From Mosel Fine Wines: "This fresh and spicy wine offers great notes of smoke, citrus and some green fruits. There is a slight leanness to the structure but enough fruits come to the rescue and add a juicy and playful feel on the mid-palate." (07/2012)
