*Highly Recommended* Clean and refreshingly rich without being weighty, delivering a core of creamy pear and apple, with spice and floral touches, ending with a lively aftertaste of white peach. Drink now through 2020. (7/ 2012)
Light, bright gold. Aromas of ripe peach, honey and nutmeg, with a subtle floral overtone. Ripe, slightly warm pit fruit flavors are lifted by gentle acidity. Finishes smooth and persistent, leaving a note of candied ginger behind. (5/ 2012)
This 2009 cuvee from Gary Farrell is sourced from many of the producer's top vineyards. From the winery: "The 2009 release of Russian River Chardonnay displays a lemon-gold hue with a lovely, bright clarity. The developing nose offers up aromas of ripe green apple, pear, candied lemon and lime, highlighted by rich tones of roasted grain and light vanilla and butterscotch. The palate offers beautifully balanced acidity, body, flavor and length. With a lively acidity and supple viscosity, this wine will pair exceptionally well with seafood and poultry dishes, as well as a fine aged Gouda."
